RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — The Santa Margarita Catholic High School Pink Ribbon Club raised $3,300 for breast cancer screenings as a result of two fundraising efforts during October—Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The club, dedicated to promoting breast cancer awareness, raised $3,000 from the student body during a Coins for the Cure fund drive. Members also organized a “pink out” at a football game, during which they handed out information on breast cancer and women’s health, dressed in bright pink and collected $300 in donations.

All donations will be given to the Rainbows of Hope program organized through the St. Joseph Regional Health System. The program offers assistance to low-income women who would not normally have the resources available for early cancer detection screenings, mammograms and medical care.
