Supporters of the Diocese of Orange and its expanding communications platforms gathered Tuesday at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach to celebrate. Orange County Catholic newspaper, with a weekly circulation of 80,000, is now the largest weekly Catholic newspaper in the country.
At the breakfast event The Most Reverend Kevin Vann, Bishop of Orange, spoke about the importance of the newspaper, website, mobile app and radio and TV programming in the call to evangelize. He also acknowledged the unique partnership the diocese has with Freedom Communications which publishes and distributes the print newspaper to Register subscribers.
