Fr. Christopher Heath and Fr. Bao Thai were in St. Louis, Missouri, on Sept. 24 for the beatification of Archbishop Fulton Sheen. Christ Cathedral had a booth at the Sheen Expo at the Dome at America’s Center, where the Mass was celebrated. Archbishop Sheen was officially declared “Blessed,” marking another step toward sainthood.
In 1972, nearly 12,000 people gathered at what was then Crystal Cathedral to hear Archbishop Sheen preach during Dr. Robert Schuller’s “Hour of Power” broadcast.
