WHAT THEY DO FOR FUN: Stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, fly fishing and camping, and spending time with grandkids.
HIS ROLE IN THE DIACONATE: Liturgical duties, introducing people to missionary work, serving the poor and ministering to police officers.
HOW HE WAS CALLED TO THE DIACONATE: “Several priests asked if I had considered being a deacon. I kept saying no but God wouldn’t let go.”
HIS GREATEST CHALLENGE: “Preaching the word of God so others may come to experience His word in reality in the present.”
