HOW HE DESCRIBES HIS ROLE IN THE CHURCH:

I am an ordained minister who serves as a servant in Word, Liturgy and Charity. My role is being an instrument of Christ’s love, mercy and compassion; assisting others in their Christian journey; enabling joyful participation in the Sacraments and relief in times of bereavement. Baptisms, Weddings, and funeral Liturgical prayer services are arranged for the benefit of God’s people.

WHAT DREW HIM TO THE DIACONATE:

I yielded to the encouragement of my pastor in the early stages of the Permanent Diaconate renewal in the Los Angeles Diocese in 1975.

HIS MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE:

When Dolores and I went to Rome for the Canonization of St. Katharine Drexel, Foundress of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament with whom we’ve been endearingly associated for over 60 years.

FAVORITE SCRIPTURE:

Matthew 5:11 — “Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.”
