Laguna Niguel–Enjoy an evening of free and gleeful musical entertainment as the famous University of Notre Dame Glee Club performs its repertoire of a-capella music for an Orange County audience Saturday night March 7.
The concert brought to you by the Notre Dame Club of Orange County, will be presented at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 29102 Crown Valley Parkway in Laguna Niguel, beginning at 7:30 p.m. During the first half of the program, the chorus of 58 young men, under the direction of Daniel C. Stowe, typically includes a variety of music from the Renaissance and Classical periods. Following a short intermission, the second half of the two-hour program includes Irish and American folks songs, barbershop tunes, spirituals, and by popular demand, “The Notre Dame Victory March.”
This concert will be the first of the Notre Dame Glee Club’s Spring Tour. Formed in 1915, the chorus now brings its distinctive sound to audiences nationwide and around the world. The Laguna Niguel performance is open to alumni, parents and friends of Notre Dame.
Though this is a complimentary performance, donations will be accepted at the end of the evening to help defray the cost of the tour.
