There won’t be much characteristic fashion show runway sashaying, and the models are pretty much guaranteed not to pout, but the 33rd annual Gentlemen’s Haberdashery April 21 promises a lot more laughs than the basic Paris trunk show.
The Haberdashery, one of Orange County’s most celebrated charitable fundraisers and social events, is set for April 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. A fashion show featuring nearly 45 of Orange County’s top businessmen and leaders in community service, sports and education modeling a wide variety of current men’s clothing, the Haberdashery raises funds for the Heart of Jesus Retreat Center in Santa Ana, which is operated by the Sister of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart.
The center provides religious formation and faith development for children in a safe, secure and caring environment in central Santa Ana. Between 12,000 and 14,000 children and parents from Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties are served by the center’s variety of ministries each year.
A sellout crowd of more than 450 people attended last year’s event, which raised approximately $230,000.
