A beautiful tradition lives on every year during Holy Week at Holy Family Cathedral School in Orange. The eighth-grade classes, along with their younger siblings, lead the school and the parish through the passion of Jesus Christ. Students narrate each step of the suffering Jesus endured for all of us. They become the actors and, using thought-provoking text, they attempt to explain the meaning of how each of the stations pertains to their daily lives. The song “Were you There” is sung after each station.
Each Station includes a prayerful reflection. It is very meaningful and powerful hearing the sound of the hammer being pounded into the nails. Walking this road of sacrifice and experiencing the great love Jesus has for us is a very moving experience.
