St. Catherine’s Academy (SCA), the Anaheim-based all-boys’ Catholic School, opened its campus on Sept. 8 for in-person instruction for kindergarten through 6th grade, with 7th and 8th grade students temporarily beginning classes online.

St. Catherine’s Academy has been serving students at a local and international level since 1889.  As the only school of this type in the entire United States, SCA prides itself in educating young men for lifelong success through a strong Catholic education rooted in the Dominican charism.  Students are taught to live the truth through the Dominican Pillars of: Community, Study, Ministry and Prayer in all that they do at SCA.

“We are so excited to welcome our students back to school,” said Sister Johnellen Turner, OP, Administrator/Principal of St. Catherine’s Academy.  “We have implemented so many new safe and health precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff.”

St. Catherine’s Academy is taking robust safety precautions observing all CDC recommendations to ensure a safe learning environment for its students. For example, a dozen portable handwashing stations have been installed throughout the campus, new windows were placed in all classrooms, hand sanitizers all over campus, free standing temperature kiosks, different recess and lunch times were implemented, and overall execution of social distancing has been applied for all students
and staff.

St. Catherine’s Academy has a rigorous academic curriculum, a one of a kind military program, music, sports, and various elective classes tailored for boys in Kindergarten through 8th grade.  In addition, SCA promotes self-discipline, leadership skills and structure that prepares boys for high school and beyond.

St. Catherine’s Academy currently has limited space available for enrollment and is still accepting applications for certain grades.  For more information about St. Catherine’s Academy, or to request a tour, please call (714)772-1363 or visit
