Golfers playing the north and south courses of the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club on March 21 raised more than $178,000 in the Santa Margarita High School Eagle Classic Golf Tournament.
Profits from the tournament will go toward the athletic teams and programs. In addition to golfing, participants could purchase auction items and take part in the helicopter ball drop, which sold more than 6,239 golf balls.
