Richard Heim, Division President and CEO of the Western Region office of Clark Construction Group in Irvine, has been appointed Project/Construction Advisor for the Christ Cathedral project, Bishop Kevin Vann announced.
Heim, a member of the Diocesan Construction Board, brings significant expertise to the diocese through this appointment. Widely respected throughout the region, his company is responsible for more than $1 billion in construction projects in L.A. and Orange County, including intricate historic restorations projects.
He is currently guiding the construction of the new Holy Trinity Church in Ladera Ranch.
Heim is actively involved in the community and was instrumental in establishing the construction program at Taller San Jose, a program designed to develop construction job training skills for the underemployed.
He was lauded for his work and received the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Ethics at the 2015 Farmers and Merchants Business and Ethics Conference.
Heim most recently served as a member of the Architecture and Renovation Committee for Christ Cathedral and says he is passionate about supporting the Church in this historic effort.
Heim earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Florida and his MBA at Auburn University.
