The Diocese of Orange encourages all Orange County Catholics to join others across the country to unite in prayer and join together in a nationwide prayer vigil for “life.” The vigil will take place from Thursday, Jan. 28 to Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, marking the 48th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions legalizing abortion through nine months of pregnancy.
Each January, the National Prayer Vigil for Life is hosted by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Pro-Life Secretariat, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and The Catholic University of America’s Office of Campus Ministry.
