GARDEN GROVE — Sherry Weddell, the author of the bestselling book “Forming Intentional Disciples: The Path to Knowing and Following Jesus,” will conduct three day-long seminars on the topic of her book on the Christ Cathedral campus Jan. 28, 29 and 31.
The program will be presented each day in the Freed Theatre of the campus Cultural Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presented by the diocesan Office of Faith Formation, the seminars are intended for parish secretaries, administrators, directors or coordinators of faith formation, youth ministers, catechists and volunteers. Spanish translation will be provided.
Weddell co-founded the Catherine of Siena Institute, an affiliated international ministry of the Western Dominican Province, in 1997. She has developed numerous unique formation resources that are used around the world and has trained and helps lead an international team that has worked with more than 70,000 ordained, religious and lay Catholics in more than 100 dioceses on five continents.
Weddell’s approach to evangelization involves understanding the stages that individuals go through on their faith journey, from unbelief to discipleship. She believes that personal relationships and trust are paramount in the process of moving toward faith.
The registration fee for any of the one-day seminars is $30, with lunch included.
