The local Church of Orange has a reputation nationally and beyond as a place of vibrant faith, enthusiasm and service to those who are “the least among us.” Thank you for your generosity, which is part of this great portrait of God’s love among us. This generosity is truly a sign of your love of God, which draws us all together. It is a reflection of the word “Catholic,” which means universal—a sign for all to see of gratitude to God for the blessing that we have received and to be seen by the entire world!
In that light, thank you over the years for your participation in the Pastoral Services Appeal—or as it is known in shorter form, the “PSA”. The Pastoral Services Appeal helps to support the ministries of our diocesan Church, strengthens the mission of the Church in all of our parishes and centers, and helps to strengthen our bonds of communion and family in our local Church.
Thank you once again for your generosity in ways great and small to the Body of Christ over all of these years. As I once learned in Cursillo many years ago: “Christ is counting on us.”

Current PSA pledges total more than $9.3 million
As of July 31, throughout our diocese in the 62 parishes and centers, the PSA has raised pledges of more than $9.3 million with more than 23,000 families participating. The ministries and services funded through the PSA have a goal for 2015 of $6.22 million. All funds raised over each individual parish goal are rebated back to the parishes.
Currently, there are 36 parishes that have satisfied their goals in paid pledges and are receiving rebates. A total of 52 parishes have met their goal in pledges and are working on redeeming those pledges to help them to reach rebate status. We predict that there is a possible $4.5 million in rebates that will be earned in 2015.
If you haven’t already done so, you are invited to participate in the PSA by making a pledge using a pledge envelope that is available at your parish. Gifts also may be made online at orangecatholicfoundation.org. Gifts of securities also are welcomed. The PSA is an annual campaign of the Orange Catholic Foundation held on behalf of the Diocese of Orange that grants funds to support ministries and services that serve all parishes and the local community.
