Bishop Kevin Vann is in Lourdes, France with the Knights and Dames of Malta on a pilgrimage with some 80 people from the Diocese of Orange and over 300 from California. He sent this spiritual postcard for all members of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange and shares his experience as he travels back to Lourdes after his first visit 39 years ago.
In 1858 the Blessed Mother appeared here to Saint Bernadette. It is a place of great healing and faith for people from all over the world, the bishop said.
