Welcome to Cathedral Square with host Fr. Christopher Smith, Rector Emeritus of Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA. Today, he welcomes Deacon Pete Morales, whose years serving in the U.S. Army inspired a deep devotion to praying the rosary. Ordained to the diaconate in 2023, Deacon Pete is passionate about helping people encounter Christ in real and practical ways — especially those facing hardship, loneliness, fear, or the invisible wounds carried long after service ends. Project Rosary was born from that mission. Combining his love for the military community with his Catholic faith, Deacon Pete began crafting handmade military-style paracord rosaries to place prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support directly into the hands of those serving our Nation and those recovering in VA hospitals and care facilities. Learn about “Project Rosary” and the upcoming Rosary Walk at Christ Cathedral. Everyone is welcome! For more info, visit projectrosary.com.
