Born 250 years ago, Ludwig van Beethoven is a household name, known for composing the hymn “Ode to Joy” AKA “Joyful, Joyful”, the famed 4-note fate theme of his Fifth Symphony, the haunting “Moonlight” Sonata and “Für Elise for piano. These gorgeous pieces, though, are only a sampling of this legendary composer’s life’s work.
