This summer, our family made a pilgrimage to Italy for the Jubilee. We passed through all four of the Holy Doors at the major basilicas as well as visited many holy sites with various relics. We also traveled to Assisi, attended Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis, saw his and St. Clare’s resting places, and visited the uncorrupted body of St. Carlo Acutis.
The family is standing in the plaza of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome, one of the four major basilicas in the city. Our trip was especially significant because we brought along our children (St. Norbert students ages 4, 5 and 8) and my mother (La Purísima parishioner). We also celebrated our 15-year anniversary (we got married in Amalfi and showed the kids the church where we were wed).
