GOV. BROWN TO RECEIVE ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL FOR SIGNATURE SOON

By STAFF     9/14/2015

ABX2-15, the Assisted Suicide bill that passed through the Assembly and the state Senate, is now on its way to Gov. Brown’s desk for his signature. It is the final step in passing legislation that would allow physicians to prescribe life-ending drugs to terminally ill patients.

The governor is expected to receive the bill for consideration midweek this week. The required 12-day deadline from receipt of the bill to either sign it or veto it, is required of all Special Session measures.

Those opposed to the Assisted Suicide bill are encouraged to go straight to the government website portal to urge the governor to veto the bill.
